Susan Snyder
1968-11-22Suzie lived across the street from me. She was amazing. Born with Cerebral Palsy her parents Ivy and George were told to institutionalize her. She endured severe seizures yet persevered with the most delightful personality and quick witted sense of humor. We were watching the world series one time. As soon as a player would land on first or second, third, whatever, she would announce his new batting average. I could't figure out how she could do it, long before the announcer could say it and she was always right. She would just laugh. Finally, I got it. "You've worked out all the potential batting averages in your head ahead of time?" She smiled and nodded. I remember a supportive, loving family, two younger sisters and a brother.
